The most common case: a large step-free opening between the living room and the outside, with no threshold and no sash swinging into the room.
Glazed extensions are all about light. The aluminium slider opens very large spans while keeping slim frames.
On a balcony, a tilt-and-turn eats into the limited space. The slider glides flat and frees up the full width.

A standard slider glides on a rail. The HST (lift-and-slide) lifts slightly before gliding, which compresses the gaskets and provides reinforced sealing. The HST is recommended for very large spans and wind-exposed positions.
Aluminium is the most common for large openings (rigidity, slim frames). PVC suits medium-sized sliders at a good price. Wood-alu adds the charm of wood on the inside.
