Custom PVC windows: the best insulation at the best price
The number-one choice for Belgian renovations. Ideal for replacing tired windows on a standard house or flat: excellent insulation, zero maintenance and a controlled budget, even when there are many openings to change.

What a PVC window is really worth
The numbers that matter for a quality PVC window, fitted by our teams. Concrete benchmarks, not marketing.
- Thermal insulation Uf 1.0–1.3 W/m²K
Multi-chamber profile (5 to 6 air chambers) with weather seals. Paired with triple glazing, the whole unit (Uw) drops to ~0.8 W/m²K — at the level of a low-energy home.
- Acoustic insulation up to 45 dB
With asymmetric acoustic glazing, the sound reduction reaches 40 to 45 dB — enough to markedly cut the perceived noise of a busy street or a railway line.
- Durability 40–50 years
PVC does not rot, rust or warp over time. UV-stabilised, it keeps its colour. At end of life, the profiles are recyclable in a closed loop.
- Maintenance Virtually none
No painting, no treatment. A wipe with soapy water once or twice a year is enough. The hinges can be adjusted without dismantling if needed.
- Aesthetics 40+ shades
White as standard, more than forty laminated shades (anthracite grey, black, wood tones) and smooth or structured finishes. Lamination on one or two faces depending on the look you want.
- Security Multi-point
Multi-point locking hardware as standard, steel reinforcement in the profile and laminated anti-burglary glazing as an option for the ground floor.
* Indicative values for standard-range profiles. Exact performance depends on the model, glazing and dimensions — confirmed at the survey.
PVC: strengths & limits
No material is perfect for every project. Here, honestly, is where PVC excels and where you should look elsewhere.
Where it shines
- The best insulation-to-price ratioOften 30 to 40% cheaper than aluminium for equal performance.
- Excellent thermal insulationThe material insulates naturally: no thermal bridge to correct.
- Zero maintenanceNo sanding or repainting to redo every few years.
- Longevity & recyclabilityA service life of several decades, recyclable at end of life.
What to keep in mind
- Wider profiles than aluminiumA little less glass area on small windows; on large bays, aluminium stays slimmer.
- Dark colours more sensitiveBlack and anthracite heat up in the sun: we choose a suitable lamination and reinforcement.
- Less “premium” lookFor the warmth of visible wood inside, wood-aluminium keeps the edge.
- Material of fossil originPetroleum-based — offset by its longevity and closed-loop recycling.
Is PVC right for you?
In the vast majority of Belgian renovations, it is the most rational choice. A few cases where it shines especially:
-
Like-for-like renovation
Replacing ageing single or double-glazed windows on an existing house, at the same dimensions: PVC is quick to fit and unbeatable on budget.
-
Standard house or flat
Windows and French doors in common sizes, tilt-and-turns: PVC covers 90% of a family home’s openings with no compromise on comfort.
-
Many openings, set budget
When the whole house has to be changed at once, the price gap with aluminium multiplies. PVC frees up budget for the right glazing or insulation.
For very large sliding bays or a search for ultra-slim lines, turn to aluminium. For a high-end wood interior, see wood-aluminium. We will tell you straight at the survey.

Your questions about PVC
Does a PVC window look “low-end”? +
That is a misconception. Modern PVC offers high-performance multi-chamber profiles, elegant laminated shades (anthracite, black, wood tones) and refined lines. On windows of common size, the visual difference from aluminium is minimal.
Does PVC insulate as well as aluminium? +
Better, at equal structure. PVC is naturally insulating whereas aluminium must include a thermal break. At a given budget, a PVC window often reaches better thermal performance. Aluminium regains the edge on slimness and very large dimensions.
Which colour should I choose, and does black last over time? +
White remains the most economical. Dark shades are achieved by UV-stabilised lamination and hold up very well; we adapt the profile and reinforcements because dark colours heat up more. More than forty shades are available, smooth or structured.
Do I need double or triple glazing on PVC? +
High-performance double glazing is the standard and suits most renovations. Triple glazing becomes relevant for a north-facing façade, a noisy street or a low-consumption goal. The PVC profile takes both; we compare the Ug values and the extra cost with you.
What maintenance do PVC windows need? +
Virtually none. A wipe with soapy water once or twice a year is enough. No painting or treatment to plan. The hardware can be adjusted and lubricated occasionally to keep a perfect closure.
How much do PVC windows cost and what grants apply? +
Count from around €450 per fitted PVC window in double glazing, depending on dimensions and glazing. Depending on your region and income, a renovation grant (sometimes up to 35%) and 6% VAT for homes over ten years old may apply.
